RB Danny Woodhead- San Diego Chargers

Woodhead will grasp a very important role in the Chargers offense. He will be a PPR machine when San Diego has to play catch-up in many of their games due to an under-performing defense.

The Charger offensive line is in bad shape as well. They just canít pass protect. QB Philip Rivers was sacked 49 times last season, only Aaron Rodgers beat him out with 51. This year the Charger line will show little improvement, which means Woodhead will be on the field a great deal as a safety valve in passing situations over starter Ryan Mathews.

Woodhead will provide a big bonus if starter Ryan Mathews goes down to injury again.

Woodhead is too small to be an every down starter, but 5 to 10 carries a game is not out of the question as a change of pace back. It's without a doubt that Woodhead's strength will be in PPR systems as he will be utilized mainly as a pass catching specialist.

What round do you think is good for Woodhead? I'd still probably wait till the 9th or later....

Hey Trick, glad to see you back! Like James said, SLEEPER he could go undrafted in many leagues or last 4 or 5, don't giveup to much early still don't know how he will be used. Wait and see unless your playing someone that is also looking at this post(oh, wait you are) good luck buddy!

I would take him as a RB #3 in PPR only. Gets a major bump when Mathews goes down to injury, which he will likely do.

Hi guys! I like this pick. When mathews goes down, he could be big. Funny part is sproles compairison. Woodhead is quicker 4.33 -4.48 ..4.33, could this be correct?

I'll be passing, much better upside elsewhere to waste a draft pick on Woodhead.

I'm in Steve's camp...haven't liked small backs, don't like small backs, probably never will like small backs...they just can't take the pounding and are feast or famine in most cases...On those good weeks...love to have em...on the three others in between...you have to start em and they just under perform...

I'll take consistent over periodic boom anytime...I pass on him as well unless it's after the 5th round.

He fits in to how San Diego (under Turner) uses a back as versitile as Woody. Will he succeed? Dunno. I don't think he will be any less effective than he was in NEP.
