I am in a 4 player keeper league....My 4 that I am keeping are R.Rice, D.Martin, Cobb, Colston.

I was just offered Dez and Forte for R.Rice......Thoughts?

I would have to drop someone from my orginal 4 obvioulsy...thinking Colston.

Depends on your scoring system. If this is PPR I would not do it. Standard league system I might.

Rice now becomes a top # 4 possibly a top# 3 back with the injuries to the receivers and the loss of A Boldin to the Ravens. In other words, the focal point of the offense will once again go through Rice, and not Pitta and Boldin.

Forte will give you a few good games and then he is gone for the year. He can never be trusted. He is almost as fragile as Ryan Mathews.

I agree. I would keep Rice. Although Dez is fantastic, you never undervalue a Running Back. Forte is the perfect sneaky RB to throw in the trade to incite you.

Keep Rice, more valuable.

Here are the stats:

Matt Forte:
Career Stats
Season Team
G GS
2012 Chicago Bears 15 15

2011 Chicago Bears 12 12

2010 Chicago Bears 16 16

2009 Chicago Bears 16 16

2008 Chicago Bears 16 16

Dez is going to breakout this year and Forte will be more involved in the passing game. I would take the trade.

If I could get both Dez Bryant and Matt Forte for Ray Rice I'd do it. Then I would keep both players with Martin and Cobb. I think Bryant will be a monster this season, especially so in PPR. Rice will be outstanding too, but I also think Forte will set new career highs (as long as he can avoid the nagging injuries that may not prevent him playing in games, but have prevented him from having better stats).

One thing your forgeting Kyle is that he is always nicked up with some type of injury and it has a big effect on his play. More so than most other top RB's. Then it's RBBC with Bush when he is hurt. It really kills his value as a top pick.

Not too mention that Bush gets the rock on the goal line further biting into Forte's value.

Here are some stats for you Kyle. Since 2008 to 2012 Forte only averages 5 rushing td's a year. And that is with 8 rushing TD's in 2008.

From 2009 to 2012 He averages just a little over 4 rushing td's a year.

Another reason he is on my "Do not draft List." You can find better.

I'll let the other guy have him.
