I prefer the last pick if it's a snake draft since you get two picks in a row on a snake draft.

There is no way to determine the best spot because you never know how the other coaches will draft.

The reason I see the 1 spot looking good in the moch drafts, is because they are getting a Brees or Rodgers in the second/third round. There is no way, in the leagues I am in, that these two quarterbacks will make it to the second round. If anyone lets the number 1 guy end up with AP and Brees/Rodgers, the season is over. I have found that the 9th or 10th spot has been pretty good. I have been getting Calvin Johnson followed by Trent R. or A. Morris, Reggie B. and Vincent Jax. Then later picking up Josh Freeman (contact year and goes with my V. Jax pick). Just my $0.02

I am picking 12th (b/c I won it all last yr!) and like this spot. As John mentioned, I am thinking Megatron, Rodgers and Brees will be picked ahead of me. What that means to me is that only (worst case scenario) 8 RB's will be gone when I pick.

I am definitely planning on grabbing two top 10 RB's with my first two picks. Thinking I can get two guys like Forte-Spiller to secure my RB's. Then when it comes back to me, will probably still go RB/WR and pick up a V-Jax/Welker/Cruz type of guy as my #1 WR. Hoping that a Sproles/L. Bell/Morris will still be there and I'll be set at RB.

Planning to wait on QB as I'd be happy with Ryan/Stafford/RG3 as my starter.

Thoughts??

I have the 12th spot and have being doing some mock drafts.............I've seen the no. one guy get AP then Brees or Rodgers too..........I tend to think that combo is lethal............I've mocked grabbed AJ Green and Rodgers a few times , only to end up with scrub RB's later on.............I haven't been able to get a top10 RB yet............so I tend to think 12th in a 12 team standard league is rough.

If you are in the 11-12 spot you almost have to go RB/RB in rounds one and two to be competitive. QB's really have been there like ROMO/Vick/Luck etc in the late 6th early 7th round...I would go RB/RB then either WR/WR or WR/RB in rounds 3 and 4, take your chances on a decent qb in round 5 or 6...you need RB's to win, and they tend to be valuable trade bait later on for those that drafted poorly.....

I agree on the RB/RB for my first two picks from the 12 slot. The only thing that gets me off that is if megatron (highly doubtful) is still there I think I have to take him.

I also like RB/WR for my back to back picks in rounds 3 & 4 as I think there is a lot of depth at WR this year.

As for QB, even if I am the last guy to grab one, still think I get a quality guy.

There is no bad drafting spot, just bad selections.

Well not that this would work the same way in your league, but I just had a draft yesterday and I was pick 12/12. This is how the 1st Rnd went from 1-12 with standard scoring system

Rodgers, Brees, AP, Foster,Martin, P Manning,Spiller,Kaepernick,Lynch,Brady,Rice

So the 12th pick I got Charles and Mccoy. Not to bad, and then the 3rd pick fell J Jones and 4th pick R Cobb. Needless to say it went to bleep after that and I ended up with E Manning and Palmer as my QBs. Good luck in your draft and I know for sure that this will not happen in my bigger 10 team draft this coming Saturday.
