Rick, You have to use caution selecting same position, same team players...it almost forces you to play them both at the same time especially WR's. Of course there are exceptions the one that comes imdeiately to mind is Atlanta...Roddy and Julio but VERY rarely do BOTh guys have a good day.

The combo I've been known to do the most of is QB/WR or TE for example Stafford and Megatron, Brees and Graham...but I hate having QB/RB or WR/RB from the same team again rarely do they both have good days...again there are exceptions.

Personally I don't want to be too tied to any one team...IMO

I would only draft two receivers or running backs on the same team if it was very late in the draft and the talent pool dried up.

I agree with Michael and James, I would normally do it if I was using one of the players as a backup....ie Foster/Tate, or something along those lines, I had Demaryus Thomas and Decker last year via a trade for a while and it was HORRIBLE, I usually picked Thomas and benched Decker until I shopped him out....Even with QB/WR its tricky, I lost in the semis last year with Manning/Thomas bc of ONE BAD GAME! If the QB has a bad day, odds are your wr will as well....

I normally stay away from selecting 2 WR's from the same team, but sometimes it can be a smart move if there are any injury concerns about the better one. Nicks or Cruz with Reuben Randle in New York; Nelson with Jones in Green Bay, etc. Heck, I'm even contemplating handcuffing Rob Gronkowski and Zach Sudfeld together in some drafts at TE.

It's usually not a good idea to dot it, but there are certain exceptions.
