I have the 12th pick in my 12 team, PPR league. I am definitely taking a RB with my first pick and most likely another one with the 13th overall pick. I'm just trying to figure out what, if anything takes me off that game plan.

If Megatron happens (doubtful) to drop to me, I think I HAVE to grab him. What if Dez is still there?? Do I take him or stick with my original plan?

Can anyone else (Brees/Rodgers/Manning) get me off my gameplan?

Appreciate your thoughts.

For me it depends on what RB is available at that spot at # 12. But yes, grab Dez at # 12 if Megatron is gone.

The most safest way to draft is two RB's and two WR's in the first 4 rounds.

Well I know these guys usually take the top 3 QB's (I wouldn't do that in first round), so that means that probably the top 8 RB's will be gone. I'm figuring that these guys will be available: McCoy, Jackson, Bush, CJ2K, Murray & Lynch.

If this is the case, do I grab two of these type of guys or go conservative and take one of these and a top 5 WR?

I guess my question is where do I draw the line on WR and go RB/RB? I'm thinking if Megatron and Dez are gone, I just take two RB's and then hope I can get guys like VJax/Welker/Amendola/Decker/Cruz with the 36th & 37th pick.

I think I'd be in good shape with say McCoy, Bush, VJax & Welker.

Look at the posts on this Forum the last couple of days. L Bell gets hurt and people are already panicking.

Why? There are just very few good Rb's to take for depth this year.

I suggest going RB-- RB in the first two rounds unless you are in a 2 QB league.

I saw Dez go tonight at 1.8 in a PPR Draft.

The team that drafted him is called " DA BOYZ"

LOL!

Personally I believe Dez will be there for you at #12-#13 but I would be inclined to go McCoy and SJAX if you can. I don't touch CJ2K nor do I see anyway Lynch lasts that long but if he did I would then go Lynch & McCoy myself. I would then go WR, WR in round 3-4 followed by getting my QB with my 5th or 6th pick.

I go rb/rb in a 12 team league. You'll be able to get two good rbs and that will be an advantage for you...I'd rather be at 12 with two good backs than drafting first knowing you'll get Peterson...Just not enough good backs....they get REAL slim starting in the 4th round this year 12 team leagues....

Thanks for all of the input. I think I'm going to go RB/RB unless Megatron magically falls to me.

Still uncertain what I will do with my 3rd & 4th picks. Leaning towards the safe route of WR/WR but if there is still a top RB there, might consider going RB/WR since the WR pool is so deep this year.

Make sense?

One last question... If Brees or Rodgers fall to me, do I dare take RB/QB for my first two picks? I am pretty set on RB/RB just want to make sure I wouldn't be making a mistake if one of those guys are still there for me.

I dont, I ONLY go RB/RB in the first and second. I would take Calvin as well though. barring that if you go rb/rb then I go RB/WR anyways in 3/4 and follow it up with wr/qb in 5/6....that will give you 3 rb's, 2 wr's, and a qb in the first 6. Wrs are deep this year and I have been getting wr2's in the 10/11th rd.
