Those of you that had a hard time in the running back department on draft day might need to grab this guy since Stewart will be gone the first 6 weeks of the season. He has had a bad hammy all of pre-season and the Panthers hope he will be back for the start of the season but he is one of the few fringe players that can perform well in PPR and standard or heavy TD leagues since he is a goal line vulture as well.

Take him as a Rb # 5 and I will bet you that no one drafted him in your league. There is no risk in picking him up this late and he will share carries with D-Will, catch passes, and vulture TD's.

He had 7 td's last season behind D'Williams and J. Stewart.

I only had to play him twice last year but he scored in both games!

I'm in a 10 team PPR league. RB's are Spiller, Lacy, G. Bernard, B. Pierce, and Christine Michael. Would you drop Michael or a backup at another position for Tolbert?

They are both backups so it's a wash. Tolbert is still battling a tender hammy. The one difference here is when Tolbert gets healthy, he will get goal line carries plus the change of pace and some third down plays, and Michael will not. Lynch will see the majority of playing time, especially on the goal line.

It's your call.

that's kind of a split of your preference. do youy wantg the guy that will play a in a RBBC for the first 6 weeks until Bell gets healthy or one that won't play the first several weeks but has better upside (albeit limited upside)?

looking at your backs i'd hold onto redman currently.

Who do you like better in a flex position Ben Tate or vereen. Starting Vereen right now but I really like Tate

Vereen for me. Tate is not a bad choice. It's close.

Update on Tolbert. He will play this weekend. WR Steve Smith hinted today that Tolbert will have an increased role in the offense this year.

If you are in desperation mode for a RB, pick him up.
