Glad to be back for a new year & a big hey to all!

Have our draft tonight though don't know my draft position until we start. Our NFL.com league has 6pts for all td's & 1pt/20yds passing (rest is std scoring, non-ppr) so LA has Rodgers, Brees, Manning, & Brady all listed in the first round. Thinking some teams will jump at QB's right away. Lots been written and my thought: RB's are a premium and not a huge difference between QB's scoring after the above listed, go RB, RB, WR, WR w/potential of taking a top QB in Rnd 3 or 4 if one slides. Othewise should have Ryan, Stafford, Romo, etc still available.

Make sense?

Also curious seeing Steelers rated #1 (Steelers, Broncos, Seahawks, 49'ers, Patriots, Bears). Seeing ADP's, looks like Patriots and Steelers will slide - would one be a solid pick rather than going "early" on the others listed? And if so, are the Steelers a steel (no pun intended really)? Other sites aren't very impressed with them but do have the Patriots around #5...

Sure appreciate as many thoughts before the big night!

I can tell you right now that if you don't take a Rb in round 1, you can find yourself screwed pretty quick....the drop off in Qb's is not bad this year through about 12-13. I would still go RB in the first, RB or STUD (Calvin, Marshall, AJ Green,Dez) WR in the second, Rb (if one) WR (if two RBs) in the third and then possibly Qb in the fourth...I am grabbing Kaepernick, stafford, romo, Wilson in the 6th for 12 team drafts.....I might go P.Manning in the third if I went RB/RB in the first and second....I was still seeing good WR options in the 10th round....

Thanks - makes a lot of sense! Any other input on drafting and/or thoughts on the D's?

I know the old adage of D (and K) of the week, but in this league can be slim pickings on waivers. So would like to try and get a solid D in the draft w/o going to early.

I actually just run in line with the FFS rankings for D's but I am rolling Tampa vs NYJ for week 1

Gotcha...with all the hype on Seahawks & 49'ers, just haven't heard much on the Steelers. Awhile back thought they could be a good one given the number of returners/veterans, etc. One note didn't mention was return/punt yds though doesn't add a lot - it's 1pt/25 yds. Still, for some reason the Patriots intrigue me, but still want to know if the Steelers are better and for real!

Thanks!!
