Is he a one week wonder? Or potentially a WR 2/3 play in ppr leagues?

So far a one week wonder. I would not pick him up yet. Remember, he has Ponder throwing to him.

Value might increase if Cassel takes over the QB job.

I'm not sure they view Patterson as ready, Simpson is an athletic WR that many expected to shine but never flourished, now Ponder is no world burner still Simpson will see plenty of single coverage that I'm pretty confident Ponder has the abilty to recognize that and take advantage of that as Jennings will get on the same page with his QB while defense try to stop A.P.

I'd still take over Woodhead and use him in situational plays and flex options

He was touted last year as the missing deep threat when he made the move from Cincy. I liked him last year, but the concerns at QB, as James expressed has be concerned. I do think he has the speed and hands to put up some good numbers, but Ponder needs to be more consistent. Unlike Dana I would grab Simpson and hold him over Woodhead, if you are not in a PPR league. I don't see Woody getting the sort of action that Sproles did in that offense, especially since they are similar players. He isn't a starter and he's not even the RB2, falling behind Ronnie Brown. Week 1 was only targeted 3 times by Rivers. Not good numbers.

Don't Unlike me TBH. perhaps a slight misunderstanding

With regards to the question and inquiries; J.Simpson Flash in the Pan and any future value and looking over the roster I figure; I'd still like over Woodhead.

I switched at Jennings for J.Simpson. showed great chemistry with Ponder. With AP in the backfield, Ponder should be able to put up 200-250 yds/game. J.Simpson obviously has the talent.

Sometimes you just take a chance on the waiver wire and 5 weeks down the road you look brilliant......um, or too eager :)

I know it's just one game, but 2 catches, 16 yards? That line is telling, in that the coaching staff doens't know how to use Woodhead. Isn't a surprise, its the Chargers, they know failure, like "Bo Knows Football." There is a reason you sign a player like Woodhead, because he is versatile. Yet Ronnie Brown and McLain had more carries than Woodhead. In the passing game, Rivers was pathetic, 14 attempts? Really? That's all? 3 receptions led the team. If San Diego considers him in the same vein as Sproles or Tolbert, then they better get their head out of their donkey and show it. I don't see it, nor do I think it will happen this season.
