PIT @CIN, DEN @NYG, or DET @ARI (and any thoughts on folks saying CAR could be a sleeper D?) - and which is more expendable for the season. With few defenses left, difficult to do a D of the week.

Scoring includes bonuses for fewer yds/pts allowed (NFL scoring)...

Any suggestions? Lost by 2pts last week (thanks Bill & Mia O-line...Ridley & Lamar, lol) and looks like an even tougher week this week! Who to start, and if I pickup DET (or CAR), who to drop?

Was leaning towards DEN but Champ Bailey is out...

I don't like PIT this weekend. CAR is facing a rookie QB. With Fitz a bit dinged and question marks still in the running game for the Dumpster Fire, I might take DET for a spot start.

Thanks TBH - if I chose to do a spot start, I'd have to drop PIT or DEN...neither is a no-brainer start, but better just to stick with them and start the one w/a better matchup? Is PIT finally too old and should be put to bed, lol?

Also, have you been hearing anything about CAR possibly being a "sleeper" (guess due to number of top D draft picks, etc though would've thought it'd take longer to mature)?

CB, to be honest I am not a defensive guru like Robert. I really only look at the match ups. This early in the season it's hard to say that with all the talent CAR has on the defensive side they will step up their game. I mean look at last week, they did contain Lynch to just 43 yards, but then Wilson threw for 320. I think CAR is in the upper echilon of defenses this season.

PIT and DEN, neither of them really instill much confidence. Again, only a week in its hard to say if either of these defenses will pick it up. Heck, I thought I was in a good position drafting NYG and GB as my defenses this year, both got tore up in week 1. I would have done better playing a match up.

Thanks...very true on the 1 week. Always hate to pull the trigger early, but same time lose out. As you said, it's only one week - will hold off and get at least one more week under the belt. Figure DEN over PIT just due to the offense woes w/PIT. Still NYG kind worry me!
