I've been backing the dude for the past two seasons, he's been my keeper. But he is terribly inconsistent and doesn't seem to be putting up "keeper" quality numbers. is it time to worry and pull the plug?

Cam showed he has the skills to play in the NFL, posting huge numbers in 2011, his rookie year. His ground numbers alone were better than many rookie RBs, not to mention his 14 TDs! We saw a bit of sophmore slump last year but still posted good combined numbers.

I think that many owners set their expectations too high. It appears he has the weapons to be successful. DeAngelo Williams at RB, Steve Smith at WR and Greg Olson at TE, yet CAR continues to struggle to win games, which is more important than stats. Still, if you are really looking at dumping him, try to sell high. Wait until Newton has a big game and see if you can package him for a new QB.

One of his biggest flaws, his inconsistency. In his first 2 years, I think defenses weren't ready for a QB of this caliber but given the last 2 years defenses have film and now have a better understanding on how to stop an agile and talented QB like Newton.

Cam has difficulty with he middle routes (post/In/Dig/6 & 7 etc.) that's been his un-doing since his rookie season...TBH is right also however in that those routes require precise, quick WR's and TE's...Steve Smith is my age!

They have no true go WR # 2 on the team. That really hurts his value.

Joey, I think that improves and adds depth to your WR, but I don't like running a season with Wilson as my starter. He is not a pass first QB in that offense. He is an effective QB, but I would rather take mu lumps and Michael running routes as the WR2 with Cam at QB.
