to get rid of Alex Smith. If the objective is to win a championship Alex Smith IMO isn't capable of doing that. Yes Chiefs fans you have exceeded your 2012 winning total already in 2013 by going 3-0 but if the real goal is to win a ring perhaps you should consider drafting a real QB.

Love to see other site posts of how tough it was to watch Smith thrown was he was reluctant to thrown the ball down the field or into tight coverage.

He had over three hundred yards of total offense but no td's. I think he will get better each game ONLY if he can get Bowe on board.

The game plan tonight was smart. Dink and Dunk to burn time and wear out that Eagle defense in the 4th quarter which what happened. Reid made a great game plan tonight.

The only way too stop the Eagle offense is to keep their defense on the field and to put heavy pressure on that weak Eagle o-line.

Well game # 1 for Alex Smith against the pathetic Jaguars: (173) passing yards and (2) TD's

Week # 2 (223) passing (2) TD's....against the Cowboys that let three Giant receivers the week before have (100) + yard games.

IMO Harbaugh knew Smith isn't a game changing QB and Harbaugh had higher goals than just nice regular season winning percentages.

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Jim McMahon, Mark Rypien, Jeff Hostetler, Troy Aikman all game managers, all Super Bowl Winners, all had a good/great Defense and/or a good/great Running game.

Oh they had their games but Troy example wasn't lighting up the passing game but how many 14 for 20, 2-TD, 175 yards, no INT games di he have...a bunch!

Sounds allot like what Alex Smith has going on...don't confuse fanatsy stats with NFL stats boys and girls...you'll lose.

Alex Smith doesn't have to throw for 300+ yards and 3-TD's per game...he needs to win...just like the boys above. Is he a hall of famer no, best QB in today's game no, can he win a super playing the way he does...abso-freaking-loutley!

Thank you Michael, you took the words Trent Dilfer out of my mouth.

LOL..... "abso-freaking-loutley".

Dilfer and Brad Johnson had arguably two of the best defenses of all time helping them. The Chiefs defense although okay would get destroyed by the likes of the Broncos or Packers who have multiple star WR's.

Alex Smith and the Chiefs IMO aren't winning any SuperBowls.

Smith is alot better than Dilfer. He is not a fantasy QB, but if you look at KC's schedule, he doesn't have to be, just has to play smart!

I wouldn't say "a lot" better. There pretty much the same player to me.

Next year when the Chiefs play a real schedule not a (2-14) schedule and the Chiefs need Smith to actually do something to keep up with other offenses the Chiefs IMO will go back to being a (7-9) (8-8) team and realize in the words of Denny Green....."they are who we thougth they were".

IF the Chiefs strengthen their defense next year, Smith just needs to continue to manage the game well and be effective and KC will continue to post W's

Didn't Smith take the 49ers to an NFC Championship game and the next year was undeafted, got hurt and lost his job to a tated up flash in the pan?

OK maybe not flash in the pan but Alex got it shoved up his tailpipe and for what...winning! Just like he's doing in KC, it's not Alex's falt he is playing the schedule he's playing...he's a good (not great) QB who doesn't make awhole lot of mistakes, with a good running game, a good defense and a good coach...they will win allot of games.
