Their schedule is a joke this year as a result of going (2-14)....once they have a decent record the following year will show the true Alex Smith.

The 49ers are an outstanding offense just like Dilfer and Brad Johnson had. The 49ers weren't great because of Smith. He actually IMO inhinder the 49ers ability to be truly great hence the move to a truly dynamic QB in Kap.

James what freaking games were you watching in 2011, with Alex starting all 16 games that year he was:

13-3, 3144 yards passing, 17-TD's, 5-INT's, 179 yards Rushing and 2-TD's, took them to the NFS Championship game lost 17-20, was 12-26 with 2-TD's and no picks in that game, took them to OT and loses the game on a muffed punt by the 49ers.

Why is it that I've been RIPPED on these boards for supposedly not doing my research and you throw out garbage and nobody says spit!

Alex Smith a Hall of Famer...no...is he good enough to take them to and win a Super Bowl, Abso-freaking-loutley...Alex didn't make the schedule he just has to play it!

Here endth the lesson!

Oh by the way Kap has just as many Super Bowl wins as Alex...ZERO!

Umm...their record last year determines a whopping two games on their 2013 schedule and they've not even played those yet. The three teams they've played so far everyone in their division plays.

Alex Smith is a smart quarterback whose game rests on not f'ing up. Gotta agree with the drummaster here. He's the kind of guy that grinds and wins games. The poor beginning of his career is do in large part to playing for 6 different OCs his first 6 years. He finally started getting used to a system that he found success in(2011 NFC Champ game) only to lose his job to Kapp after and injury despite being 19-5-1 under Harbaugh.

LOL.....can take them to a Superbowl.....please keep and retain this post because (10) years from now unless he plays as a backup QB on a Superbowl winning team he will "Never" have a ring.

And I went to say Alex Smith played on a 49ers team with an outstaning defense not offense because well they had ALEX SMITH.

Dude you are a Master Spin Doctor...you can't have it both ways...I prove he had a good offensive year and now it was the defense that made that year...same defense that muffed the punt and cost him Alex a shot at the Super Bowl...

I'm not saying Alex WILL take KC to a Super Bowl I'm saying he CAN...you're just a blind hater...you'd be well served to drop this argument...cause you're flat wrong!

I agree with Michael, I don't recall anybody mentioning the Chiefs making it to the Super Bowl, but I think they can make a run at the playoffs and after that who knows!

The thing is you play to make the playoffs. Once there it's a whole new season.

....." can he win a super playing the way he does...abso-freaking-loutley!"

Way to got on a limb....all (32) QB's that start the season can theortically "win a superbowl".

The Chiefs defense is above average not great to the level of the Superbowl teams that somewhat carried the Ravens and Buccaneers to championships. I look forward to when the Chiefs need Smith to do something to keep up with another high powered offense and Smith shows you his "Denny Green" moment.

James...I hope Alex fails miserably so you have something to look forward too...it's one thing to have and opinion it's another to just be an .....

The way you try to twist this argument around to try and make a point that only you believe is at the very most amazing and the very least sad.

You give him no credit what so ever for the success the 49ers had in 2011, guess it was all defense, special teams and coach. Oh and let's not forget schedule as the 49ers were 6-10 the year prior to Alex taking over so he played nothing but creampuffs in 2011 just like KC is this year.

So my hope for you is that you save my posts, Alex Smith doesn't win another freaking game and you can type up a great big I TOLD YOU SO!

I assure you we're done...good luck the rest of the season...
