Do you have any type of rule to handled alledge "dumping" and how do you handle it? By that I mean, where one team trades one of their best players to another team, for a much less valued player. Sort of like trading a kicker for a Tier 1 QB.

Our league has nothing in the rules about doing it, and would like to see if anyone has it in their rules. How much of a disparity is okay, and what is not. What do you use to prove or defend the trade?

Thanks for any input.

We don't have an official rule for it but our commish can veto the trade if it's too lopsided. If the commish is involved, I guess you are screwed. I have lobbied to change that to have it go to a league vote, but haven't made any progress on that.

Good luck!

That is what would have happened in our league. Good decision on the commish's part.

nope, that is why you need a good commish. A lopsided trade should just get vetoed OR go to a league vote.

In one league I was in for a while we had a voted for "Trade Committee" of 3 owners who would oversee all trades and present it to the commish with either a thumbs up or down on whether to allow the trade. It was "written" into our league's bylaws (guess who was always on the comittiee?)

Something along the lines of:

All trades are subject to a review by the Trade Committee before becoming final. The Trade Committee will then present the Commissioner with their recommendation. The Commissioner will then have final say to approve the trade or reject it.

Can't remember the exact words.
