That is one thing that I will be happy to see change here. It is quit annoying thinking that this thread needs a sticky because no one will read it. If the content of the thread is good people will read it and react to it. my feeling let the users tell you what's important to them not you!

FYI to those who have the ability to remove the Stickys I would advise you to do that now if you want more people to hang around and not having them scroll to the next page of thread each time them want to read a new topic! JMO in helping this forum thrive!

In the past it hasn't been too much of a problem. Usually someone would come along, like Russ, and start releasing old stickies when there got to be too many.

I mean the idea is that good threads will stay near the top anyway as people respond. But I know this board usually doesn't really pick up until August, as more people start filtering in. So obvioulsy not going to get the same amount of responses as in season.

I hear you but if there is no traffic then those threads wouldn't have moved anyway right? Lol

All it does is make me annoyed like my kids putting something in front of my face when at the same time I want to look at something else I'm interested in.

Well, what's gonna happen in the future is you mods (James and Swamps) will really not sticky much. We might sticky an article and things going on with the site, like something majorly updated, or a live mock draft we have going on. Past that, the popular topics will float upward. I'll look into unpinning these now, if it's not too much of a big task lol. Not sure how deep they go.

Ok, all stickies are unstuck!

Back to normal, and if it's a popular topic, it will float on its own.

I'll sticky announcements and stuff, though.

thanks Smitty. although I don't think you had to unsticky everything! haha. Certainly some of the older stuff.

But something like the new breaking newswire thread:

http://www.fantasyfootballstarters.com/viewTopic.jsp?topicId=47211

Would be good to have sticky'd as users return to the forum over the next month and haven't heard yet.

Ok I'll stop. Now this thread can die slow happy death...knowing it accomplished its task Back to football!
